Marketing Committee

FWAA Marketing and Communications—the voice of the Association! This committee oversees communications, branding, and outreach strategies to keep our members informed and engaged. Use your creativity and experience to help shape how we engage with our members.

Volunteer Focus: Marketing Growth and Ideas, Member Publications, Social Media, FWAA Website Growth and Enhancement.

NextGen Committee

Empower the next generation of multifamily professionals! From hosting life-saving blood drives to attending strategy and development programs, this committee focuses on engaging and supporting emerging leaders in the industry and retention of all members for long term growth.

Volunteer Focus: Meets eight times. NextGen Status at Registered Events. Member Growth and Development, Preparing Future Association Leaders, FWAA Blood Drive Initiatives. Quarterly Mixers.

Education Committee

Shape the future of multifamily education! Assist in developing curriculum and assist with planning the Education Conference. This committee is perfect for those passionate about professional growth and development in an industry that is constantly changing.

Volunteer Focus: Meets nine times in 2026, Education Curriculum Development, Education Conference Content and Planning, Member Participation, Sponsorship Support. 

Membership Committee

Grow our membership community! Focus on recruitment, retention, and engagement, including supporting and outreach to Independent Rental Owners. FWAA membership is the core of our business. Nothing we do could happen without the continual support of our members. This committee helps recruit more amazing members and promotes all FWAA events.

Volunteer Focus: Meets quarterly. FWAA Member Retention and Acquisition, Participation in Membership Drives.


Community Service Committee

Give back in a big way! This committee is the heart and soul of FWAA.

This committee oversees the Fundraising Arm of FWAAA. It will lead initiatives like: FWAACares, Charity Bowling Tournament, the FWAA Volunteer Day, Christmas Party and Toy Drive, Charity Golf Tournaments raising funds for both Military Veterans and FWAA’s Education Foundation. In addition, the committee will engage in meaningful discussions on how FWAA can be impactful within the community. Make a real difference while building meaningful connections.

Volunteer Focus: Meets quarterly, Charity Awareness, Event Planning and Participation, Responsible for FWAACares Initiatives, Volunteer Work Hours as Needed, and Fundraising Outreach.


Golf Committee

Drive one of FWAA’s most popular networking and fundraising traditions! The Golf Committee plans and executes FWAA golf tournaments that bring together members, sponsors, and industry partners for a day of competition, camaraderie, and connection. From course selection to sponsorship activation, this committee helps deliver a polished, high-energy experience that supports FWAA initiatives.

Volunteer Focus: Meets four times in 2026, Event Planning and Logistics, Sponsorship Engagement, On-Site Execution, Member Experience.


Maintenance Mania Committee

Celebrate the skill, speed, and professionalism of the multifamily maintenance community! The Maintenance Mania Committee plans FWAA’s high-energy skills competition, showcasing maintenance professionals through timed challenges and hands-on events. This committee plays a key role in elevating recognition, education, and pride within one of the industry’s most essential roles.

Volunteer Focus: Meets four times, Event Logistics, Competition Planning, Education Planning, Vendor & Sponsor Coordination, Participant Engagement.


Casino Party Committee

Bring the fun while supporting FWAA’s mission! The Casino Party Committee plans one of FWAA’s most social and high-impact networking events, combining entertainment, fundraising, and member engagement. From gaming layouts to atmosphere and flow, this committee helps create a memorable night that keeps members coming back year after year.
