Job Title: Operations Manager
Reports To: Vice President of Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the Fort Worth Apartment Association, with a strong emphasis on supporting the Education and Events Department and ensuring the successful delivery of all FWAA education programs, credential courses, and professional development initiatives. The Operations Manager serves as a critical connection between administration, education, membership, events, and marketing—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, member satisfaction, and operational excellence across the association.
Key Responsibilities
Education Program Support & Administration

- Maintain organized and complete records for all education programs, including registrations, confirmations, cancellations, rosters, handouts, presentations, and instructor/speaker contracts.
- Support logistics and coordination for all education offerings, including NAAEI credentials, general education classes, Annual Legal Summit, and Annual Education Conference.
- Support all new and ongoing education initiatives as directed by leadership.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for assigned Education Committees.
Member Engagement & Marketing

- Implement education marketing strategies to meet attendance, revenue, and retention goals. (collaborating with the marketing department)
- Execute promotional activities including email campaigns, phone outreach, digital content, print materials, and social media coordination.
- Ensure accuracy and timely updates of all education information on the FWAA website.
- Reach out to members monthly to promote programs.
Operations & Administrative Responsibilities

- Oversee daily office operations including supplies, vendor coordination, and internal communications.
- Assist with event preparation, logistics, scheduling, and workflows.
- Support the Vice President of Operations with time-sensitive projects and initiatives.
- Supports membership through active database involvement
- Responsible for coordination of room rentals within the FWAA Office.
Event & Travel Requirements

- Travel throughout DFW for FWAA programs and events (day & evening).
- Potential travel to Texas Apartment Association and National Apartment Association conferences.
- Participate in event setup, breakdown, and onsite logistics.
- Ability to lift and transport materials required.
Qualifications
-
- Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, marketing, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Multifamily industry experience a plus.
- Strong computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe, CMS platforms, project management tools, and survey/forms applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Comfortable speaking to groups in virtual and in-person settings.
- Strong client-service mindset.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- This individual will be self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented person with punctual follow-up with association employees and members
- Be part of a strong team with a focus on meeting and exceeding expectations while maintaining optimum levels of membership.
Work Schedule
-
- Onsite at FWAA Office.
- Monday-Thursday 8:30 to 5pm, Friday 8:30 to 4pm
- Additional hours required during events.
