FWAA Cares Introducing FWAA Cares: Showcasing How Our Industry Gives Back

www.fwaacares.org

The Fort Worth Apartment Association is proud to launch FWAA Cares, a new initiative designed to spotlight the incredible community service projects led by our members across North Central Texas.

From food drives and blood donations to home repairs and mentoring programs, we know our industry is already making a powerful impact. Now, with FWAA Cares, we’re building a dedicated platform to collect, recognize, and share those efforts in one centralized place—giving credit where it’s due and inspiring others to get involved.

What Is FWAA Cares?

FWAA Cares is a digital showcase of community engagement across the multifamily industry. Approved submissions will be featured on www.fwaacares.org in a chronological timeline, highlighting the generosity, teamwork, and spirit of service that define our membership.

Whether your company organized a toy drive, volunteered at a shelter, raised money for a local nonprofit, or supported a hands-on community improvement project—FWAA Cares gives your story a place to shine. It’s a way to share the good work you’re already doing, while amplifying its reach and setting an example for others in our industry to follow.

This initiative is also the brainchild of our 2024 FWAA Leadership Lyceum graduates, who developed the concept as part of their capstone project. Their vision was simple but powerful: create a space to highlight how our industry gives back—and encourage others to step up and do the same.

The FWAA Leadership Lyceum is a homegrown leadership education program designed to cultivate future association leaders. Through workshops, networking, and hands-on projects, participants gain insight into association governance, advocacy, and strategic planning—empowering them to make a meaningful impact within the industry and the broader community.

FWAA Cares is just one example of what happens when passionate professionals put their leadership training into action.

Why This Matters

Now more than ever, it’s important to show the general public that the multifamily industry is more than just housing—it’s a community partner. We often serve as the first responders to neighborhood needs, rallying around causes that lift people up and strengthen our cities. By sharing these stories through FWAA Cares, we not only recognize our members’ contributions—we demonstrate to the broader public, policymakers, and media that our industry plays a vital role in the social fabric of North Texas.

How to Submit Your Project

Submitting your company’s initiative is simple—just visit www.fwaacares.org and fill out the FWAA Cares Submission Form.
