Lone Star Award Categories: All nominees must be local and work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for an FWAA member company:

  • Leasing Professional of the Year
  • Assistant Community Manager of the Year
  • Community Manager of the Year (Single property only)
  • Rookie Property Manager of the Year (Single Property Only)
  • Multi-Site Property Manager of the Year 
  • Regional Property Supervisor of the Year
  • Maintenance Support of the Year
  • Maintenance Supervisor of the Year
  • Rookie Maintenance Technician of the Year (Property Only)
  • Regional Maintenance Supervisor of the Year
  • Executive of the Year (RVP, VP, SVP, EVP, President, Owner)
  • Behind the Scenes Professional of the Year 
  • Supplier Partner - Individual of the Year
  • Trailblazer of the Year (Supplier Partner Only)
  • Community Team of the Year 
  • Affordable Community of the Year
  • Active Living (Senior) Community of the Year

Eligibility

Individual Awards
  1. LSA individual award nominees must be employed by an FWAA member throughout the awards process.
  2. All nominees must have:
    1. Worked at their current property or management company for at least one (1) year, AND
    2. must have worked in their current position for at least 1-year.
      1. *Rookie Manager and Rookie Maintenance Technician of the year does NOT have to meet the 1-year minimum.* Rookie Awards are for individuals who are new to their positions and have exceeded expectations.
      2. Date of hire or promotion must be on or before Oct 1, 2026
  3. Regional Property Supervisors, Regional Maintenance Supervisors, and Executives must have worked in their current position for a minimum of two (2)years.
  4. Previous LSA Award winners are eligible to win the same category again.
  5. Previous nominees may be nominated again.
  6. All Nominees MUST be local (out of state nominations will not be accepted.)
Community Awards
  1. LSA Community Award nominees must be an FWAA member.
  2. Properties must have been open for business, with residents living on-site, for at least 12 months.
  3. Previous LSA Community Award winners ARE eligible to win community of the year again.
  4. Previous nominees may be nominated again.
